Fresh Basil offers 9.81% natural and 50.53% natural origin. This fragrance is designed for those seeking not only superior olfactory quality but also an assurance of naturalness, reflecting our commitment to providing environmentally friendly and ethically sourced products.
All of our fragrances are developed by Terre de Bougies and manufactured in Grasse, Provençal France, by master perfumers . They comply with European ( CLP CE N°1907/2006 & 1223/2009/CEE ) and French ( IFRA ) standards.
No scent in our catalog is tested on animals.
Olfactory notes
The top notes are dominated by a fresh note and anise. The fresh note immediately captures the essence of clean air and dewy morning, providing a lively and energizing opening. Anise, with its distinctive, slightly sweet and spicy scent, adds an interesting dimension that sets the stage for a more herbaceous heart.
At the heart of the fragrance, basil and verbena blend to create a rich and enveloping central bouquet. Basil, with its green and slightly peppery notes, is at the heart of the fragrance, offering authentic freshness and aromatic depth. Lemony and refreshing verbena complements the basil, adding a lightness and clarity that reinforces the sensation of nature and well-being.
The base notes consist of galbanum and clove. Galbanum, with its intense, earthy undertones, provides a rich, woody base, evoking the density of a verdant forest. Clove, with its warm, spicy notes, adds a robust, tangy finish, anchoring the fragrance in a lasting sense of warmth and complexity.

Our fragrances may contain CMRs (Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, and Reprotoxic), but these levels (0.1% to 3.3%) are for the raw fragrance. In a candle (10% fragrance and 90% wax), the concentration is much lower and safe under normal conditions of use.
CMRs also exist in our daily lives: some essential oils, chlorine in swimming pools, and grilled meat contain them, although they are not prohibited. They play a key role in the olfactory rendering of perfumes, and removing them would alter their quality, as well as their olfactory possibilities. As for ethyl phthalate, it is safe and commonly used in cosmetics. It has nothing to do with the phthalates banned in toys! -
Perfume should be stored away from light and at room temperature (20°C). Under these conditions, you can keep your oil for a maximum of 24 months. If the perfume crystallizes, simply heat it to a maximum of 30°C.
