Characteristics of the Stephenson base for solid soaps
- Appearance: White opaque solid at 25°C
- Content of natural origin: 89.39% (ISO 16128-1:2016)
- Ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Sodium Stearate, Sorbitol, Sodium Laurate, Propylene Glycol, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Citric Acid, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Sodium Citrate, Tetrasodium Iminodisuccinate, Tetrasodium Etidronate
- Compliance: Complies with Cosmetic Regulation (EU) No.1223/2009
Manufacturing process
- Open & Cut: Remove the soap base from the package and cut it into small pieces for easier melting and even heating.
- Melt: Heat the soap base in a suitable container to approximately 75°C. Stir gently to avoid boiling and ensure even melting.
- Mix: Add flavorings, colorings and other additives according to your preferences. Mix for even distribution.
- Pour & Let Harden: Quickly pour the melted soap base into your mold. Spray with rubbing alcohol to prevent air bubbles. Let cool and harden completely before unmolding.
Use and customization
WST Crystal Melt & Pour Soap Base is ideal for creating custom, vibrantly colored soaps. You can add up to 3% additives, including a maximum of 1% fragrance. Powdered or liquid dyes can be used to achieve the desired color. It is recommended to dissolve powdered dyes in a small amount of water before adding them to the soap base.
Storage Tips
To ensure the quality of the soap base, store it in optimal conditions of 5 to 30°C. Consult the safety data sheet to find out the lifespan of the base.
Security and stability
Crystal WST soap base has a balanced pH, creating an environment hostile to microbes. However, after adding additives and fragrances, additional stability and microbiology testing is recommended. Our bases comply with European regulations for cosmetic products.
