Crystal OPC solid soap base is perfect for crafters looking to create unique and personalized products . This white, opaque base is easy to handle and offers great flexibility for adding fragrances, colorants, and additives.
This gentle cleansing base, ideal for creating a soufflé-style exfoliating soap or foaming body butter , combines cleansing, moisturizing and exfoliating properties while enhancing vibrant colors with excellent stability thanks to its richness in glycerin.

Process for making your homemade soap

1. Preparation: Cut the base into 4-5 cm pieces to make mixing easier. Use a pastry blender or an electric mixer.
2. Mixing: Start mixing slowly and then gradually increase the speed. After 3-4 minutes, slowly add additives such as flavors or colors.
3. Whisk: Whisk the base for 10 to 15 minutes to achieve a smooth, creamy, and even texture. Add up to 8% water for a softer texture if necessary.
4. Add the additive(s): Stir in exfoliants like sugar, salt, coffee grounds, or seeds of your choice to create an exfoliating product. Use a 50/50 ratio of base to exfoliant for best results.
5. Decanting: Once the base is well mixed, transfer it to a container or pastry bag for easy packaging.

Use and customization

Crystal OPC solid soap base is ideal for creating custom soaps. Add up to 3% fragrance or up to 2% essential oils to achieve the desired effect. Colorants can be added for a unique visual touch. For an exfoliating product, mix in natural ingredients like sugar or salt.

Storage tips

To maintain the quality of your soap base, store it between 5 and 30°C. Consult the certificate of analysis for the product's shelf life.

Security and stability

Crystal OPC soap base has a balanced pH between 5.50 and 7.00, ensuring a skin-friendly product. Before marketing your creations, conduct stability and microbiological preservation tests, especially if additives have been added.
