Why rapeseed wax for your creations?
The benefits of rapeseed wax :
- Vegetable wax.
- Does not contain mineral paraffin (synthetic wax).
- Wax that supports coloring and the addition of essential oils.
- Solid and flexible wax which is suitable for making molded candles or scented pebbles.
- Melting point at low temperature for total preservation of the perfumes used.
- Wax with a neutral scent that does not alter the fragrances you use.
- Very good lifespan thanks to low temperature combustion.
- Combustion that does not generate toxic substances or smoke.
- Rapeseed wax does not stain and is easily cleaned with soapy water.
Rapeseed wax without traces of GMOs is not the easiest to work with but it allows you to obtain candles with an assertive charm . It is therefore an aesthetic but also an ethical solution. Rapeseed is a local product and grown on existing fields to give the soil time to regenerate between two crops.

Fragrances for candles & fondants
Rapeseed wax for molded candles and scented pebbles can be used with any scent. It is recommended to choose good quality ones which do not risk altering the combustion of the wax. This will also guarantee optimal olfactory results.
The recommended dosage for candle fragrance is between 7 and 10% depending on the strength of the fragrance and your preferences.
The fragrance is incorporated when the rapeseed wax is between 75 and 80°C.
Filling the candle
The recommended pouring temperature for rapeseed wax is between 70 and 75°C. It is therefore very important to have a thermometer to check.
The choice of wick
For rapeseed wax for molded candles and scented melts , you should use a relatively thick flat wick, several sizes larger than wicks for other waxes. Cotton wicks are a very good solution.
Coloring
Candles with rapeseed wax tolerate coloring very well.
You will find a whole range of dyes on our site to give beautiful colors to your candle. These are available in powder, liquid or shavings. It must be added during the heating phase of your candle, to at least 70°C, and mixed well to ensure that the color is evenly distributed. If you also add perfume, it will be included at the end of this step.
Cooling of the candle
It is very important that the candle cools quickly. So avoid leaving the different containers or molds too close to each other. All this can be done at room temperature.
