This collection brings together Grasse fragrances guaranteed free from any substance classified as CMR and free from ethyl phthalate. "CMR-free" here means zero presence: no component classified as Carcinogenic, Mutagenic or Reprotoxic enters into the composition of these fragrances for candles, wax melts and homemade scented creations. This absence is attested by each fragrance's CMR certificate, which we make available to you along with its safety data sheet (SDS) and its IFRA certificate.
CMRs are substances, whether natural or synthetic, governed by the European CLP regulation. Some natural raw materials, such as orange blossom, may contain traces so tiny that they do not even appear on the safety data sheet (SDS). To clear up any confusion: a fragrance in this selection contains no substance classified as CMR, whatever its proportion. The only phthalate used in perfumery is ethyl phthalate, which is not considered hazardous under current regulations — it is commonly found in cosmetics such as lip glosses or eyeliners. For the sake of complete transparency, we have nonetheless removed it from this range: your scented creations are thus 100% ethyl-phthalate-free.
Our other fragrances containing CMRs remain perfectly safe under normal conditions of use: diluted to around 10% in wax, their concentrations fall well below the regulatory thresholds. This collection is aimed at makers who want a "zero classified substance" selling point, simplified labelling for resale or maximum reassurance for their customers. Crafted in Grasse by master perfumers, these scents comply with the IFRA and CLP standards, are not tested on animals and are suitable for vegans.
