The N°25 - 300 x 28 mm candle mould is specially designed for making fine, elegant candles. Thanks to its classic, slender format, it can be used to create moulded candles with a clean, professional finish, ideal for decorative, ceremonial or craft use.
Made from fire-resistant glass, this mould ensures excellent heat resistance and durability over time. It comes with a metal needle to keep the wick perfectly centred during casting. For optimum sealing, we recommend using sealing paste or a sealing plug.
Please note : this mould is not suitable for making beeswax candles.
Glass offers a major advantage when making moulded candles. It can be filled in a single step, giving a smooth, shiny surface when the wax temperature is correctly controlled.
Its 28 mm diameter means that you need to use a suitable wick, which is essential for ensuring even, safe combustion. For this, opt for wick coils.
Melt your moulded candle wax at a temperature of between 80 and 90°C, checking with a thermometer. This temperature is crucial for obtaining a shiny surface and making it easier to remove from the mould.
You can use a silicone-free release spray to make extraction easier. Remember to clean your moulds with soapy water after use.
If you wish to colour your candle, add granulated or liquid colouring at a rate of approximately 1 to 2 g per 1 kg of wax. Mix carefully. Too much colourant can affect the quality of the burn.
Choose a wick with a diameter of 28 mm. Make a slipknot at one end, insert the wick into the hole in the mould, then tighten it before securing it with the metal needle supplied. Make sure the knot covers the hole properly to prevent any wax leaking out.
Stabilise your moulds "upside down" using a suitable support. This step is essential to ensure straight pouring and avoid any deformation of the candle.
A stand specially designed for candle moulds is recommended to ensure perfect stability during filling.
Glass moulds can be filled in a single operation. When cooling, a hollow may appear. To correct this effect, gently pierce the semi-hard wax with a fine needle, then top up with a small amount of hot wax.
Once the wax has cooled completely, undo the noose by pulling on the end of the loop, then carefully remove the candle. If necessary, place the mould in the fridge for a few minutes to make removal easier.
The N°25 glass candle mould is a reliable and durable tool for all DIY candle-making enthusiasts. Its precision and standard size make it ideal for producing elegant, regular and perfectly centred candles.
