Jesmonite® AC730 — powder component

Jesmonite® AC730 is supplied as two components: a water-based acrylic resin liquid and a cement-based mineral powder. This is the powder variant, to be mixed exclusively with the AC730 liquid, and available in several colours.

AC730 is the most popular micro-cement product in the Jesmonite® range. Generally used outdoors, it is also suitable for interior fittings. A shrinkage-compensated, low-permeability material, it durably withstands all weather exposure conditions (including in the presence of water) and delivers a distinctive, highly detailed surface finish. It contains a fine decorative aggregate and powder pigments, carefully dosed for an even decorative result; if needed, irregularities can be corrected or smoothed with sandpaper.

Its benefits: no harmful chemicals, fire-resistant, lightweight, impact-resistant, fine detail, fast setting, solvent- and VOC-free. Compatible with candle making: the creations can be used as a vessel (leave to dry for at least 48 hours before any use to ensure perfect heat resistance). This product has not undergone food-safety testing.

Dosage

Ratio: 5 to 1 (5 parts base to 1 part liquid). A Jesmonite calculator is available to make your measurements easier.

Usage tips

• Sifting the powder before mixing removes lumps and gives a smoother texture.
• To avoid air bubbles, place your mould on a vibrating plate so they can escape.
• Prepare 5 to 10% more than the theoretical calculation to compensate for losses.
• Work in warm, dry conditions away from direct sunlight; avoid places where solvent-based products are frequently used.
• Make sure the mixing containers are clean, dry and an appropriate size.
