Designed for DIY enthusiasts, our biodegradable glitter is ideal for scented candles as well as for many non-cosmetic applications. It represents a genuine ecological innovation, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional metallic plastic glitter.

Made from raw materials of natural origin, it produces a sparkling, metallic effect while being developed to biodegrade in the natural environment. It is compatible with dry systems as well as with water-based, solvent-based, silicone-based and oil-based formulations.

Two effects, one and the same environmental standard

• SPARKLE
  An intense metallic finish offering a brilliance comparable to traditional plastic glitter.
  Colours available: Silver, Copper, Purple, Gold, Green
• PURE
  A finish with iridescent, opalescent or opaque reflections for elegant, original creations.
  Colours available: Bronze, Copper, Red/Pink, Mother-of-pearl

Specifications

• Formulated for optimal biodegradability: 73% degradation in 28 days (OECD 301 standard), tested by the independent laboratory Eurofins. Performance above the 60% threshold required by the European regulation on microplastics (EU 2023/2055).
• Bioglitter® technology was the first in the world to obtain TÜV Austria "OK biodegradable WATER" certification, in 2019.
• A range of natural colours offering intense metallic and opalescent effects.
• 100% plastic-free. Made from up to 99% (PURE) and 100% (SPARKLE) renewable materials derived from plant-based carbon.
