Medium-grit sanding sponge for Jesmonite® finishes

The medium-grit sanding sponge is the ideal accessory for perfecting the finish of your Jesmonite® creations. Designed for hand sanding, it easily corrects small imperfections, softens edges and produces an even surface before applying a sealer or protective finish.

What it does

After demoulding, some creations may show slight irregularities, burrs or seam lines. Thanks to its medium grit, this sponge removes small surface imperfections, smooths edges and corners, evens out the finish before finer sanding steps and effectively prepares the surface before applying a sealer.

How to use

Use the sponge on a fully dry creation with steady, light movements. Its flexible structure hugs straight shapes as well as curved surfaces, for even sanding without gouging the material. Tip: to limit dust and achieve an even cleaner finish, wet sanding is recommended on Jesmonite® creations.

Care

Remove dust by tapping the sponge or rinsing it with clean water after use. If residue persists, clean it with a little mild soap then rinse thoroughly. Let it dry completely in the open air before storing and avoid keeping it damp. Avoid solvents or harsh chemicals and replace the sponge when it shows significant signs of wear.
