GlassRoxx recycled glass granules for Jesmonite® creations

GlassRoxx recycled glass granules are a decorative additive designed to be incorporated into Jesmonite® to create a high-end terrazzo effect. Made from 100% recycled glass and coloured with water-based pigments, they are a sustainable alternative to traditional decorative inclusions.

GlassRoxx create mineral inclusions that become visible after sanding: the glass chips add depth, plays of light and a terrazzo-like finish, highly sought after for contemporary decorative objects. They are perfect for making trays, pots, vases and any other decorative object.

Unlike ordinary glass chips, GlassRoxx are designed to be handled easily: dust-free, non-cutting, non-toxic and coloured with water-based organic pigments. Once the surface is sanded, the inclusions appear naturally within the mass and instantly give the piece character, for a professional result without complex techniques.

Dosage and use

Dosage — it depends on the desired result:

• 5 to 10% for a subtle effect
• 10 to 20% for a balanced terrazzo effect
• Up to 40% for a very graphic result

How to use:

1. Prepare the Jesmonite® according to the recommended ratio.
2. Add a pigment if desired.
3. Incorporate the GlassRoxx into the mix, stirring gently to obtain an even distribution.
4. Pour the preparation into the mould.
5. After demoulding, gradually sand the surface to reveal the glass granules.

Caution: do not exceed 50% granules relative to the Jesmonite® mix in order to preserve the mechanical properties of the piece.
