From its emotional benefits to the fact that it's made from vegetable wax, let's discover together how to make an exceptional candle that will make hearts skip a beat.
The concept of the Valentine's candle: more than a gift, a moment of sharing
Like the massage candle, the special Valentine's candle is part of a well-being approach.
It diffuses an enveloping light and a carefully selected fragrance, transforming a dinner, a relaxing evening or a cocooning ritual into a sensory experience. The aim? To create a romantic, gentle and memorable bubble, where every detail counts: the texture of the wax, the choice of fragrance and the design of the container. The candle becomes a scented message, a delicate "I love you".

How to make your Valentine's Day candle?
Let's get creative!
Start by preparing your container by placing a wick in it to match its diameter (see our wick size guide, available in each dedicated product sheet). We always advise you to take 1 to 2 wick sizes above what our table indicates when using vegetable wax. Here, we have a 200-mL glass container with a TCR wick on a wax base, reference 30/18.
Obtaining your red hearts
- Start by melting your soy wax for moulded candles at a temperature of 80°C. Add the fragrance when the wax reaches 75°C and the liquid colourant when the wax reaches 70°C. Stir for 2 minutes with each addition.

- Once your mixture is well blended, pour into the "Heart Cluster" mould and wait for the hearts to harden completely.
- Once your hearts have hardened, remove them from the mould and place them in your container.

Make the paraffin layer
- Melt the paraffin gel at between 84°C and 95°C to limit the formation of bubbles. However, do not pour the hot gel directly onto the moulded hearts to avoid any risk of melting. Wait a few minutes for the temperature of the gel to drop. The consistency should be neither too liquid nor too thick. Pour to the desired height.

- Leave to stand until the paraffin gel has hardened.
Making the layer of wax to cover the paraffin gel
- Melt your 4130 soy wax for candles in a container at 80°C. Add your fragrance when the wax reaches 75°C, then stir for 2 minutes. Pour over the paraffin gel.

- Wait for the wax to harden and turn white, then cut your wick to 0.7-1 cm.

Your candle is ready to be given as a gift or used for a sweet moment together!
To go even further
Choose a scent that's easy on the skin, and combine your creation with a soft playlist, subdued lighting and a few textile touches to prolong the warmth of the moment. Play with variations (hearts of different colours, a duo of complementary fragrances) and personalise the message on the label. A moment to savour for two, now... and to reinvent for future dates.
