Our selection of granular dyes for candles and wax melts brings together the 36 Bekro shades, the German reference among scented-candle makers. Compact format, spoon-measured dosing, high pigment intensity — granular remains one of the most appreciated formats for both artisan making and serial production. All our references are guaranteed CMR-free and compliant with current European standards.
Granular candle dye comes in small greasy granules that melt within seconds into hot wax. Unlike powder dyes, it raises no dust during handling and does not disperse into the air. Unlike liquids, it keeps for a very long time with no risk of oxidation or separation. A format particularly suited to regular professional use.
The Bekro brand, founded in Germany, has become a global standard for poured-candle and wax-melt dyes. Its pigment concentration is among the highest on the market — a major advantage: less colouring matter for the same result, so a less loaded wax and a better preserved burn. This is precisely why professional workshops and artisan brands are loyal to it.
Bekro granules are compatible with all waxes commonly used in DIY candles and professional making:
Granules also suit colouring scented wax melts — richer texture, increased intensity at equivalent dosage.
Our quality commitment rests on three pillars:
Each reference ships with its downloadable Safety Data Sheet (SDS).
Plan on average 3 to 5 g of granular dye per 1 kg of wax. The range depends on the intensity wanted and the shade chosen: a pearly white requires less pigment than a deep black. Add the granules to the melted wax between 70 and 80°C, stir gently for 1 to 2 minutes until full dissolution, then pour.
The dosage stays comparable, but can be raised slightly (up to 6-7 g/kg) to compensate for the wax melt's more opaque texture. A more intense colour does justice to detailed moulded pieces (Clamshell patterns, decorative shapes).
The 36 Bekro shades cover every colour family:
The shades are mixable with one another to compose exclusive nuances. Tip: always start by testing on a small wax sample before pouring your full series, as the on-screen rendering may slightly differ from the real one.
