This gentle, cmr-free "Basilic frais" fragrance will enhance your home creations.
Basilic Frais is 9.81% natural and 50.53% of natural origin. This fragrance is designed for those seeking not only superior olfactory quality but also an assurance of naturalness, reflecting our commitment to providing products that respect the environment and are ethically sourced.
All our fragrances are developed by Terre de Bougies and made in Grasse in Provence, France by master perfumers. They comply with European(CLP CE N°1907/2006 & 1223/2009/CEE) and French(IFRA) standards.
None of the fragrances in our catalogue have been tested on animals.
The top notes are dominated by a fresh note and aniseed. The fresh note immediately captures the essence of the clean air and dewy morning, providing a lively, energising opening. Anise, with its distinctive slightly sweet and spicy scent, adds an interesting dimension that sets the scene for a more herbaceous heart.
At the heart of the fragrance, basil and verbena combine to create a rich, enveloping central bouquet. Basil, with its green, slightly peppery notes, is at the heart of the fragrance, offering authentic freshness and aromatic depth. Verbena, lemony and refreshing, complements the basil, adding a lightness and clarity that reinforce the sensation of nature and well-being.
The base notes are composed of galbanum and clove. Galbanum, with its intense, earthy nuances, provides a rich, woody base, evoking the density of a verdant forest. Clove, with its warm, spicy notes, adds a robust, pungent finish, anchoring the fragrance in a feeling of lasting warmth and complexity.
To dose your creations, we invite you to carry out your own tests according to the aromatic intensity you are looking for. This also differs for each fragrance.

Our blogOur fragrances may contain CMRs (Carcinogenic, Mutagenic, and Reprotoxic), but these levels (0.1% to 3.3%) are for the raw fragrance. In a candle (10% fragrance and 90% wax), the concentration is much lower and safe under normal conditions of use.
CMRs also exist in our daily lives: some essential oils, chlorine in swimming pools, and grilled meat contain them, although they are not prohibited. They play a key role in the olfactory rendering of perfumes, and removing them would alter their quality, as well as their olfactory possibilities.
As for ethyl phthalate, it is safe and commonly used in cosmetics. It has nothing to do with the phthalates banned in toys!
Perfume should be stored away from light and at room temperature (20°C). Under these conditions, you can keep your oil for a maximum of 24 months. If the perfume crystallizes, simply heat it to a maximum of 30°C.
We do not offer samples. The smallest size available for most fragrances is 30 ml.
However, you can exchange your loyalty points for a selection of 30 ml fragrances in your dedicated area.
