The fire retardant for dried flowers and dried plants is designed to delay ignition and reduce afterburning of dried flowers and other natural plant fiber materials. Thanks to its exceptional efficiency, it requires small quantities to be effective and its high penetrating capacity makes it easy to apply.
This fire retardant comes in liquid form (VOC and formaldehyde free), is odorless and colorless , and is ready to use for impregnation . It can be tinted (with powder dye or liquid acrylic) to add an aesthetic effect.
The substrate must be dry and free of dust, oil, wax, grease, dirt, and resin. The fire retardant for dried flowers and dried plants can be applied in two ways to a dry and porous substrate, on each side and on the edges:
It is recommended to let dry between 12 and 72 hours, depending on the temperature and humidity, naturally or accelerated. A slight shrinkage of the fibers may occur.
The recommended amount is 30% of the weight of the media.
The fire retardant for dried flowers and dried plants must be stored for 24 months in its original airtight packaging, tightly closed, to maintain optimal effectiveness.
The storage temperature should be between 0°C and +50°C. The litre is packaged in a can, not in a spray bottle.
