Crystal OPC soap base

The Crystal OPC base is an opaque white solid soap base, formulated to enable the manufacture of mild soaps with a neutral pH, rich in glycerin, soap-free, paraben-free, SLS-free, SLES-free and MPG-free.

Important: this product is a raw material intended to serve as a base for solid soap making. It is not a finished cosmetic or a ready-to-use product: it must not be used as is at the time of purchase. Any transformation and final use is the responsibility of the customer, who must ensure compliance with the applicable regulations for finished cosmetic products.

• Appearance: opaque white solid at 20°C
• Natural origin content: 95.37% (ISO 16128-1:2016)
• Compliance: compliant with the Cosmetic Regulation (EU) No.1223/2009
• Ethics: compliant with vegan and cruelty-free standards
• Free from: soap, parabens, SLS, SLES and MPG. Neutral pH.

Manufacturing process

1. Preparation: cut the base into 4 to 5 cm pieces to facilitate mixing.
2. Mixing: start mixing slowly using a pastry mixer or an electric beater, then gradually increase the speed.
3. Whipping: whip the base for 10 to 15 minutes to obtain a smooth and homogeneous texture. You may add up to 8% water to soften the texture if needed.
4. Additives: incorporate the additives required for your formulation, respecting the dosages you have previously validated through your own tests.
5. Packaging: transfer the preparation into a container or a piping bag for easy packaging.

Storage tips

To preserve the quality of the base, keep it at a temperature between 5 and 30°C. Refer to the safety data sheet (SDS) for the shelf life indicated by the manufacturer.

Safety and stability

Before any marketing of your creations, it is your responsibility to carry out stability and microbiological safety tests on the finished product you formulate from this base, particularly after adding additives. The manufacturer indicates that the base complies with European requirements to serve as an ingredient in the manufacture of finished cosmetic products; it is up to the person placing the finished product on the market to ensure its regulatory compliance.
