Stearin for candles: an essential ingredient for sustainable, quality creations

Our vegetable stearin comes from RSPO (Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil) certified plantations, guaranteeing a responsible vegetable origin.

Obtained from palm fatty acids, this 100% vegetable stearin can be used on its own or in addition to any other wax, depending on the type of candle you want to make.

The benefits of vegetable stearin

  • Longer burning time: stearin slows down melting, giving a longer, more even fragrance.
  • Reinforced structure: it hardens the wax and reduces the risk of deformation, particularly when removing from the mould.
  • Better fragrance diffusion: by encouraging more regular combustion, stearin ensures constant, long-lasting fragrance diffusion.

Using stearic acid: candle sand on its own or as a complement to other waxes

Stearin is a versatile wax that can be used as the main wax or as an additive in your moulded or cast candles.

On its own

It can be used to create sandy candles and fondants with an original, grainy texture that is highly appreciated for decorative creations. These candles are easy to personalise and offer a unique, hand-crafted finish.

In addition to other waxes

Add around 10% stearin to your vegetable or mineral wax for better heat resistance, a smoother surface and cleaner, slower burning.

The latter increases the melting point of your candles, which is useful when creating wax objects such as candle holders.
