The advantage? You can design your own arrangement to suit your tastes. A terracotta colour scheme, a few touches of orange and brown, flowers with full or more delicate shapes: there are countless possibilities for personalisation.

Tutorial: create your own autumn-coloured wax flower bouquet
Ingredients required
To make your autumnal floral bouquet, you’ll need:
- Wax suitable for melts and moulded creations (here, moulded olive wax)
- Flower moulds of your choice
- Fragrance for candles and melts
- Wax colourants (here: brown powder colourant and orange liquid colourant)
- Sticks
- Floral foam or a suitable base
- Beakers
- A centre guide to keep the sticks straight whilst pouring
- Dried flowers or decorative elements, as desired
- Biodegradable glitter for a sparkling finish (optional)
How to create your floral arrangement – Step-by-
1. Prepare your container.
Start by cutting the floral foam to the size of your container. It will act as a base to hold the wax flowers in place and make it easy for you to build your bouquet. To get the measurements right, apply gentle pressure to the foam, as shown in the photo below, to create a guide.
2. Melt the wax and add the fragrance.
Heat the required amount of wax, following the recommended temperatures for your particular wax. Once the wax has melted, allow it to cool to the correct temperature for adding the fragrance. Add your fragrance and mix thoroughly to ensure it is evenly distributed throughout the wax. Take the time to mix it well before pouring.
3. Create your different colours.
If you want to create a multicoloured bouquet, divide the scented wax between several beakers. Then add your chosen colourants and mix until the colour is uniform.
For a more sophisticated result, you can also create two-tone or gradient effects by combining two colours in the same mould.
4. Prepare the moulds.
Place the sticks in the centre of the moulds and hold them straight using a centring tool. This step ensures the flowers are easy to incorporate into your arrangement later on.
5. Pour the wax.
Gently pour the coloured wax into the various moulds. Alternate shades and shapes to create a harmonious arrangement. For a gradient effect, start with a small amount of one colour before topping it up with a second shade.
6. Remove the creations from the moulds and adjust the stems.
Wait until the wax has set completely before carefully removing your flowers from the moulds.
7. Arrange your bouquet.
Arrange the wax flowers in the floral foam, varying the shapes, heights and colours. Start with the largest pieces, then gradually fill in the gaps.
8. Finish off the arrangement.
Add a few dried flowers or decorative elements to add texture to the arrangement. A light sprinkling of biodegradable glitter can also be used to highlight certain flowers.
A reusable kit for endless creations
The appeal of this concept isn’t limited to a single bouquet. Once you’ve gathered your materials, you can reuse the moulds and accessories to create new arrangements. Simply change the fragrance, colouring or shape, and your bouquet takes on a whole new identity.
You can also replace just certain flowers when their scent fades, without having to recreate the whole arrangement.
This makes it a particularly interesting idea for creating seasonal collections, personalised gifts or arrangements to match a specific event.
Care instructions
To keep your wax flowers in the best possible condition, store your bouquet away from heat, humidity and direct light. Prolonged exposure to sunlight can soften or warp the wax, alter the colours and cause the fragrance to evaporate more quickly. Choose a dry, cool place away from any heat sources.
The cold diffusion of wax melts is naturally gradual and diminishes over time. Its duration depends in particular on the fragrance used, its concentration and storage conditions.
When the flowers give off less fragrance, there are several options available to you: replace some of the flowers with new scented creations, or remove the flowers from their holders to use them as wax melts in a fragrance burner, provided their composition and intended use allow for this.
